Gale Lemerand Drive

Formerly known as North-South Drive and recently renamed Gale Lemerand Drive. Named for a Gator who has repeatedly and positively impacted the University of Florida with his loyal support. Gale Lemerand Drive was rerouted and reconstructed to accommodate the renovations to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during the recent $55 million expansion project.

Gator Boosters, Inc. held a reception in the Champions Club to honor a great member of the Gator family, Gale Lemerand.

This past year Gale made a significant contribution that will benefit both the University of Florida and the Athletic Association. In recognition of this generous gift, North South Drive has been renamed in his honor- Gale Lemerand Drive.

Gale is a longtime Bull Gator serving on the Board of Directors for Gator Boosters, Inc. and is a Distinquished Director. His generosity over the years has helped fund the Lemerand Football Offices, the Basketball Practice Facility and the Lemerand Center, which houses the soccer, track, volleyball and baseball programs.

From the University of Florida, the Athletic Association, Gator Boosters, Inc. and gator fans everywhere, we want to thank you Gale for all you have done and continue to do for this program.
